Speaker 1:

the people around you are watching, and they're doing so consciously and unconsciously, right. 98% of our behaviors are learned from watching other people 98% 98%.

Speaker 1:

So you need to ask yourself some very important questions. Who's watching you? Think about that for a moment. Who's watching you? I mean, this is an extracurricular exercise you could do. It'll blow your mind. Who is watching you? Who looks up to you? Who models you, who listens to you? By the way, if we have any business owners here, it's everybody in your company, of course your family, of course your spouse, of course your kids. You guys are leaders. So I'm coming from a position that I perceive that all of you are leaders. So a powerful question you can ask yourself Who's watching me? Yeah, then this is where you know it's not very easy to ask these questions, but you need to. What are the behaviors that I'm doing That they're seeing, that they're seeing that I probably shouldn't be doing? I should either be doing less or not at all. Very important questions to be asking yourself. And then, what are behaviors I should be doing that I'm not or not doing enough of that? I need to so that they see that You have to understand.

Speaker 1:

This is, by the way, science, so Shane and I are heavily studying in neuroscience, okay, so let's get into the neuroscience of this a little bit. There's things called mirror neurons. Okay, who's ever heard of mirror neurons before, with these things called mirror neurons? And literally what is happening is our mirror neurons are sitting there looking at individuals in our environment Can even be fictitious individuals, by the way, can even be from watching movies and we'll pick up on their behaviors, by the way, and we'll do so even more if we idolize or look up to that individual.

Speaker 1:

Okay, and so this is what we call mimicking. You will see this happen. Who's got kids and you saw them go through the mimicking phase already before they were age one? Right, i like to. At the end of my day, when I'm doing admin work, i love putting on some music and I move too, because I'm at a standing desk all the time. You know get the blood flow going a little bit at the end of the day, and yesterday, sebastian crawls into the room and all of a sudden he starts bouncing back and forth, just like I was. I was like that is awesome. I was like and scary, yeah, i was like shoot.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, he's gonna get your dance moves.

Speaker 1:

Oh, no, no that's not the scary part. I'm not perfect And I have my errors and excesses. And I'm sitting there right there seeing him moving in cadence with me back and forth And I'm like, wow, i need to think really quick about all of my behaviors because, man, he's watching and he's almost 11 months old. I can only imagine whenever he's 10 years old, or 18 years old or 25 years old And, by the way, mirror neurons work forever. Yeah, there's a lot more I will say imprinting that happens in the younger years.

Speaker 2:

For all of us, and then, as we get older, we have more filters that can block those out.

Speaker 1:

But the reality is we're still always watching. By the way, this is a great example. Shay and I have literally done keynotes before And it's funny because the organizer we know how the organizer will dress and will look out in the audience in the sea of people, and everybody will dress like they're. usually the CEO and the president dresses within the company. It's a trip Like we've seen it before, where it's like buttoned up black or navy blue suit, white shirt, red or blue solid tie. That's it right, and that's how the owners of the company or the principals of the organization or the executives of the organization dress, and we can see literally a sea of people and they're all dressed the same way only blue and red ties, white shirts, maybe light blue, dark, navy blue or black. We've also seen it before. we did a keynote And it was kind of like the T-shirt with a chain and a sport coat over it and a puff pocket, square, all fun, bright colored. everybody in the audience is the same way Mirror neurons, just mirror neurons, right?

Speaker 1:

So this is so important to understand. you are all leaders And the reason we're bringing this up is because you should really be thinking about every single thing that we're teaching you throughout MindPower Breakthrough and be thinking I'm not just learning this for me. I'm learning this for everybody that's in my sphere or in my environment. They're watching you. If you have chronic anxiety problems, guess what? So will your kids. If you have a lot of fears, guess what. So will your team members. If you have a lot of anger, guess what So? every single individual that's within your network of individuals or friends also probably be angry, especially if you're the alpha or the leader. This, this, this should in some way scare the hell out of you and, at the same time, excite you.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, because if you, if you want to impact and make a change in your network, in your sphere, then what do you need to change first?

Speaker 1:

It's a change yourself. Write this down, i need to be the most. Write that down, i need to be the most.

Speaker 2:

And pretend like you're always on a stage, that people are always watching you, because they are. But if you just envision and imagine like you're always on a stage, no matter where you go, i don't care if you're at the grocery store, if you're at the gas station, if you're in your yard doing gardening Pretend like you're on a stage, that people are always watching, because you never know when someone is watching you that you want to make a great impact on.

Speaker 1:

You need to be the most. If you want your team to be punctual, you need to be the most punctual person on the team. If you, if you want your team to be more grateful and less bickery, right then you need to be more grateful and cannot whine. You cannot. This is a new modern era and now we live in this proper society where a lot of individuals they love to whine and complain And it's insane. The reality is, the more they do that, the more they're going to create an environment of individuals that are like that. And then next thing you know, you're thinking to yourself man, would you like some wine with that cheese? And seriously. but what you have to do is look in the mirror and realize am I being grateful? You have to be the most. You have to be the most If you want individuals to be more positive and have a positive outlook. you better have a positive outlook on things Right.

Speaker 1:

If you want individuals to have hope, you need to be, as Napoleon Bonaparte said, a hope dealer yourself. You need to be the dealer in hope. you have to give people hope if you want other people to have hope. Do you want individuals to pivot? Do you want individuals to take risks. You need to be the most. You need to be the most in terms of pivoting and risk taking. You need to be the most. This is so important, and what we're trying to do over this eight weeks together is inject into you ways to be the most for you.

Speaker 2:

Of whatever that is for you.

Speaker 1:

For your spouse, for your family, for your team, for members of your church, of your sports team, what have you? And bringing it back around full circle, arnold man. He was always the most For sure And it was not by happenstance, it was because he was walking mind power and studied every aspect of how the human mind work and understanding the neuroscience of how things work. He is very much a scientist. A lot of individual thought he was just a burly, strong man with not much brains right, braun, no brains. The reality was and is a lot of Braun, a lot of brains, and I mean a lot of brains. Very brilliant and smart individual. He understood the power of imagination And it's amazing how, the more we grow up, the reality is is the more we become disconnected with our superpowers.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, Our imagination. Right, Because we were told maybe sometimes like that's not real. Maybe you had an imaginary friend and your parents or your brother, your sister or someone around you said that's not real, Get rid of that. And so then you cut off that part of your imagination. But guess what? We need imagination to create our future the way we want it to be.

Speaker 1:

Sir Richard Branson was interviewed And literally he was being asked what were the key secrets to his success. This is an interesting interview because he kind of was like go ahead, i want you to guess. Anyone who knows Sir Richard Branson know he's a cheeky fellow. And he goes why don't you guess? And you're like your network. You know everyone talks about your network equaling your network. And he goes. That's true. It's not what I'm thinking right now.

Speaker 1:

I said, okay, you have gone for it so often and failed and not cared that you failed, is it that? Is that your main secret to your success? And he goes. That's definitely an important one. He goes.

Speaker 1:

I have a funny story for you. He goes. There's one time I was in with a deal with my financier And I said right, oh, right, oh. And I shook the guy's hand. We made the deal, we walked out and I looked at my financier and went crikey, what the hell did? we just invest in. I didn't even understand what he was pitching, but it felt good. True story. And he said the amount of times that I just went all in not even knowing what it was. He goes. I'm the type of guy that grabs the parachute, slips through some side of the plane and straps it on on the way down to the ground. That's mind power, folks, that's frickin resilience right there. Anyway, he was like but no, no, no, good discussion, but that's not it. Well, i, i'm at a loss.

Speaker 1:

The interviewer said Sir Richard Branson said the number one reason Why Virgin Is Virgin today, by the way, he owns over 400 businesses as a multi billionaire, he said is because of my imagination. Period, full stop, he said. He carried on to say when he was talking about imagination, because they were intrigued by that. And they're like we hear this all the time. Sometimes people say it's like it's child's play And he goes well, it is, but I'm a big child And anyone who knows him knows that he is Literally still is like a child And he says imagination is at the center of everything. Virgin. Quote unquote Imagination is at the center of everything. Virgin, so important, so important.

Speaker 1:

Every step of the way, going back to Arnold Schwarzenegger, of his journey, literally, was fueled by imagination, fueled by him being visionary, which was fueling his certainty, which was fueling his achievement Man, we're just barely scratching the surface in terms of what's possible. And, by the way, he came from, came from Austria, a small little town from a farm. Tough, tough, tough upbringing, tough upbringing. So why do I say that? Because you don't have to be born with a silver spoon in your mouth to be able to create massive amounts of success and wealth. So you need to understand the fact that everybody is watching you. You need to understand the fact that everybody around you, literally most of their behaviors, are because of you good and the bad, and make the changes And never, ever, ever, lose touch with that childlike superpower known as imagination. The more you can be childlike again, the more you can have Richard Branson level wealth. That's at the center of everything.
